Home from Holidays!

Well Travis, Kaed, and I finally made it home from Ontario yesterday morning! We had a great holiday and got to see so many friends and relatives.
Our trip started out in Toronto. We arrived at around 12am so headed straight to our hotel. The next morning we made our way to Shelly's (trav's sister) work, where we met her and her fiance John for lunch. After lunch we drove to Wellandport to spend some time with my Aunt Dieni, Uncle Henry, and all my cousins. On Saturday we had a big birthday party for my Auntie Dieni and a ton of my relatives that I haven't seen in years and years came, so that was a really fun day. We relaxed at my Aunts place the whole next day and then on Monday we headed to Niagara Falls, and to do some shopping across the border in NY. Tuesday morning we got up bright and early to drive to Osgoode, which is just a half hour or so outside of Ottawa. There we spent some time with Trav's cousin and his aunt and Uncle at their place. We also went downtown Ottawa and got to see Parliament, and the Rideau Canal and other cool things. On Wednesday night, my Uncle Frank, Aunt Bertha, and cousin Jodi and her husband Jeff, came over to Trav's cousins place so I could finally meet them! Frank was the only of mom's siblings that I had not yet met, so that was pretty neat.
Thursday morning we made our way through Algonquin Provincial Park to Parry Sound. The drive was beautiful but at this point Kaed was getting awfully sick of his car seat! Once we hit Parry Sound the wedding plans and preparations took over! On Saturday afternoon at 4pm Shelly and John were married beside the lake at John's grandparents place. The wedding was so beautiful!
Sunday we headed back to Toronto with Kara and Jessie (one of shelly's bridesmaids) had dinner with them, then Travis drove them back to the airport and dropped off our rental cars. The next morning we took transit downtown and met my friend Jolene for an hour or so. Then we spent some more time walking around and seeing things. Tuesday morning we got up at 4:30 Ontario time and flew home!
What a great trip!

Camping Trip

This weekend Travis, Kaed, Meg, Syd, Rosie, Suzanne, and Michael all went camping near Innisfail AB... at a place called Dickson Dam. Meg, Travis, Kaed, Fable and I headed out there around noon on Friday, even though it was raining, and we pretty much froze ourselves overnight, but had a good time. Saturday morningish everyone else showed up and we all had a great time together. Saturday was sunny and moderately hot, so Suzy and Meg and I went swimming. It was SO NICE. I have not been swimming in so long, and it just made me happy!

Here are a couple of pics!

Playing Tourist!

So lately it seems that I have been playing tourist! On Monday my sister Suzanne and I took Kaed to Canada Olympic Park to have a peek see around, and then today I met my sister Meg, my cousin Andrea, and my friend Aimie at Heritage Park here in Calgary. Both were great days and I got lot's of walking in which is always a nice way to get some exercise!
Suzy and I found a sign that had been put up upside down, we thought it was pretty funny. Then we found an old bobsled and very sneakily took some pictures in it.
And Kaed, the pro skiier!
we went for a boat ride at heritage park.

Growing Up!

Kaed is growing up so fast! He's now just over 5 months old and has two teeth! He cut his first one last night, and then another this morning! He sits up on his own, just started some solid food, and is interacting so much more.
His new best friend is Fable. He smiles at her everytime he sees her, even if he is crying, he will always stop to smile at her. He pets her now and when she runs around he thinks it is the funniest thing ever!
Travis is busy downstairs right now renovating our kitchen and two bathrooms! We are ripping out all the old countertops and putting in tile. I picked out some paint chips today for the walls and cupboard doors, so once the tile is all in place I'll finalize my decision and start painting! I found some awesome colors for the bathrooms, but I'll have to work on convincing Trav on them yet. If it were up to him every room in the house would be some shade of green!
Once it is all done I will post some before and after pictures!
