Photoshoot With Mom

Well Kaed and I had a little photo shoot the other day. Kaed was SO happy, and laughing and giggling so I thought it would be a great time to shoot some pics... here they are!

Sleeping Through the Night?

Well Kaed slept for a whole... wait for it... 8.5 hours last night! Woo Hoo! from 9:45 till 6:15am. It was wonderful. It would have been better however, if Trav hadn't been on call for work, and the phone hadn't rung at 4am! Grrrr... the first time I could have gotten a solid 8 hours of sleep and BAM! someone has to ruin that! sigh... oh well, what can you do? I kind of think though, that Kaed's long sleep had more to do with the fact that he has a cold right now rather than the fact that he is ready to sleep through the night, but maybe, *cross your fingers* he will

We had some nice thundershowers this evening, which resulted in an incredible rainbow! Always nice to see good after-effects of rain, besides of course the blessing of having it cool off for the night.

Kaed would be able to sit up on his own all the time, if he ever got sick of playing with his feet!

Camping Weekend

Well Travis, Kaed, Fable, and Shiloh (our aunt and uncle's dog) left for camping on Friday morning, expecting to spend the whole weekend out there, when our plans got ruined by a bunch of party folks. Friday night none of us got ANY sleep due to a huge party that was happening just down the way from us. They played loud music till at least 4am. Now I understand that peopel want to go out and have a good time, but honestly, have a little bit of respect for your fellow campers! Oh how I wanted someone to go shut them up, but as we were camping out on Crown Land, there isn't exactly any noise rules. Sigh... oh well. Needless to say we decided it wasn't worth spending another night out there (all day saturday more and more cars arrived at that party camp site) so we spent the rest of the day out there and then headed home after dinner. We had a good time the rest of the time though!

Here you can see that Kaed is a little bit interested in his hands now. haha. all's he does is stare at them all day long, it's quite funny to watch!

My Family

Well I finally caved and decided to create a real blog to avoid having to send out mass picture and email updates to family and friends!
For those of you that don't know, the Siemens family consists of myself, Hilda, my husband Travis, our son Kaed, and of course our dog Fable.
Travis is an engineer, currently working for an oil and gas company in calgary. I am currently a stay at home mom. Kaed is 4.5 months old and one of the happiest babies I know!
